Baan Ora Chorn is extravagantly spacious with just 4 bedrooms (+ a maid's room) spread over a huge 2000 sqm plot right on Lipa Noi beach. Elegant contemporary Thai architecture blends well into this delightful peaceful tropical beachside setting smothered in palms bursting with coconuts. Steeply sloping roofs and vaulted ceilings with vast walls of glass compliment the extensive wood finish used through out to give an understated yet very chic feel. A huge 18 plus metre pool set in English style green lawns dominates this stylish property, contrasting nicely with the turquoise bay waters and the glorious white sand of the almost deserted beach.
Stone washed paths lead up from the beach linking the poolside open sala (ideal for alfresco dining) with 2 separate bedroom pavilions, housing 2 of the 4 double bedrooms (all ensuite) and onto the main house pavilion. A huge open designer style lounge and dining room dominated by rich woods and extensive floor to ceiling folding doors stands over the whole property with great views out to 5 Islands in the distance, particularly from the balcony. Gentle sea breezes flow through this light and airy pavilion which also houses the kitchen, a TV room and two further double bedrooms.
Four staff cook, clean and serve, discreetly gliding around the property. The chef conjures up both Asian, especially Thai, and western cuisine from the open fully equipped kitchen whilst the chirpy manageress is on hand to arrange sightseeing, shopping, boat trips and car hire (all extra). All provisioning can be undertaken by the chef based on the guests’ wishes (on guest account), an extensive suggestions menu is there to assist.

Baan Ora Chorn is one of a cluster of exceptional private villas on the quiet western side of the secluded Lipa Noi peninsular. You approach the villas through an unfinished development with little sign of construction (as of March 2009). There is nothing of consequence in the immediate vicinity of the villa, which guarantees complete peace and quiet. The beach is gloriously sandy and the sea is ideal for swimming year round and boasts beautiful views out to the small islands of the National Marine Park and across to the mainland. Facing due west, this is also the best beach on the island to enjoy the tropical sunsets. A small jetty for ferries to the mainland sits a few hundred metres left of the villa, its only impact being the occasional distant announcement of a departure. The entrance to Ora Chorn is up wide stone steps which lead from the car port and rear gardens. At the top of the steps is the imposing main living and dining room (seating for 10) with vaulted ceilings and lazy fans (and air-conditioning), tall fold away patio doors and a delightful balcony overlooking the front gardens, swimming pool and sea beyond. Down a half flight of stairs leads to an open plan and equipped kitchen with small breakfast bar, adjacent to a TV room with satellite TV, DVD player and comfy sofas. Head out of floor-to-ceiling fold away doors and underneath the living room is the first bedroom, a king with ensuite shower. The second bedroom, again king bedded, in the main pavilion is off the main living room up a half flight of stairs. Highlights include an open balcony bath shaded by tall palm trees, separate shower, a private sun terrace and pleasant balcony with sea views.
Leading from the main pavilion towards the sea are two further stand alone bedroom pavilions. Both with king beds, huge vaulted ceilings with pleasant fans, chic walled outside baths and separate inside showers. The main bedroom at the front has fabulous sea views and tall ceiling doors which fold back to a terrace and a luggage shelf which doubles as a child’s single bed. All bedrooms are air-conditioned with Bose Ipod players, modern bathrooms including raindrop showers and twin sinks.
Down a few steps leads to an open-sided sala with dining for 10 and a convenient drinks fridge adjacent to the 18m swimming pool which is surrounded by sun loungers and day beds. Lawns lead you to the beach just beyond.

For rentals beginning more than 60 days after the date of your booking request - a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is payable.
